2025 Summer Conference: NAVIGATING

In an era marked by increasing complexity, conflict, and rapid change, educators must act as navigators—to pursue new pathways and possibilities in our discipline and to instill navigational skills in our students. This conference examines shifting social, political, and institutional landscapes as sites for reorientation, transformation, and reconciliation at all scales, and across pedagogy and practice. The 2025 Â黨ÊÓƵ Summer Conference supports knowledge-sharing across the authors and presenters accepted into the 2025 Â黨ÊÓƵ/EAAE Teachers Conference, and welcomes additional participants to engage in open discussion to collectively navigate the challenges ahead.

The in-person conference, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, will take place on August 7–8, 2025, followed by virtual sessions via Zoom on September 11–12, 2025.

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), in collaboration with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (Â黨ÊÓƵ), and the Coalition of Community College Architecture Programs (CCCAP), invites you to what we hope will be an ongoing series of conversations about architectural education and the preparation of students for architectural licensure. Building on the success of the 2023 Â黨ÊÓƵ Convening to Advance Community College Transfer and Articulation in Architectural Education in Philadelphia, PA, we hope to continue conversations on strengthening articulation between community colleges and professional and pre-professional architecture programs.

TAD 10.1 Interconnect Call for Papers

This issue of TAD investigates how information and communication technologies shape how we perceive, use, manage, and design the built environment and how these relationships change as our world becomes more interconnected and densified. Topics for this submission may include but are not limited to innovative applied and scholarly research on shared models of urban intelligence, their design traits and limitations; design projects on networked human-computer interfaces for collective interactions; data-driven simulation studies on urban resource allocation networks; aesthetic projects on technologically augmented public engagement; case studies on current sociotechnical systems and their design characteristics; historical perspectives on the relationship between information technologies, urban operations, and planning specifications. The editors strongly encourage submissions highlighting contributions from those traditionally excluded or underrepresented in the field. Submissions may choose to address the focus area identified in this call for papers but are not required to do so.
