It is consistently named as one of the best places to live, but it also faces unprecedented challenges to achieving equitable and sustainable development. The School of Architecture and College of Design have distinguished histories of influential design and educational programs that serve NC cities and towns, and is well-positioned to influence their future. This is supported by the extension and engagement mission of a research intensive land grant university.
